During a chat session, a supervisor can send a message by double-clicking or double-tapping on the screen. The “Send Message” dialog box will appear (see Diagram 1).
The supervisor can then use the keyboard or keypad to enter the desired message.
Messages can be sent with Normal Priority or with High Priority. To designate the message as a High Priority message, select this choice from the list of options.
Messages can also be set to be Invisible. Invisible messages are not sent to the supervisee. However, they are timestamped and included in the session transcript. Therefore, if the supervisor has something they would like to communicate to the supervisee, but don’t want to disturb them during the session, they can mark a message as Invisible. Later, when viewing the session transcript, the supervisee can read this message and follow-up further with the supervisor in post-session review.
